Foi uma decisão esperada durante toda a madrugada e houve sofrimento e nervosismo até ao ultimo momento. E, no final da cerimónia, a delegação portuguesa agradeceu aos delegados da UNESCO com a ajuda da voz de Amália.

On 17th December my English class ( 9th B) made a tribute to Jonh Lennon. Like the lyrics says, we wish a better world, full of peace, solidariety and love.

I thank the dedication and enthusiasm of my students.

World Music Day: 1st October

What would life be without music? The world would be a very quiet place. Music is in many ways the fabric of ourlives and the definition of society. Music is the perfect art and our lives would be that much less complete without it.

Super Tramp ( School )

I can see you in the morning when you go to school
Don't forget your books, you know you've got to learn the golden rule,
The teacher tells you stop your playin' get on with your work
And be like Johnnie - "too-good", don't you know he never shirks
- he's coming along!

After school is over you're playing in the park
Don't be out too late, don't let it get too dark
They tell you not to hang around and learn what life's about
And grow up just like them - won't let you work it out
- and you're full of doubt

Don't do this and don't do that
What are they trying to do? Make a good boy of you
Do they know where it's at?
Don't criticize, they're old and wise
Do as they tell you to
Don't want the devil to
Come and put out your eyes

Maybe I'm mistaken expecting you to fight
Or maybe I'm just crazy, I don't know wrong from right
But while I am still living, I've just got this to say
It's always up to you if you want to be that
want to see that
want to see it that way
- you're coming along!

Isilda Miranda, a great voice!

This Portuguese teenager has a great voice. She is now in the 10th grade, and I had the pleasure to be her English teacher for three years (7th, 8th and 9th grade). Her voice is marvellous and whenever she sang in our school activities we were enchanted.
I wish her a lot of success!

Inês Pereira ( 13 ) Guitar Contest: "Prémios Honoríficos David Russel", 23 January 2010

I have the honour to be the English teacher of this teenager, Inês Pereira. She is a very good student, an excellent person and likes music a lot. She has already performed in some of our school activities and I have the pleasure to share her talent with you.

The new white soul singer: Duffy Springfield

She has emerged from deepest Wales and is considered the potentially best new musical name of 2008. To those involved in Duffy’s journey towards the spotlight, it is a source of wonder that someone so gifted should come from the background she does. For in terms of pop awareness, she grew up virtually illiterate, firstly in the tiny coastal community of Nefyn (population 2,550 at the last census), then later in Letterstone, Pembrokeshire. Welsh is her mother tongue, English her second language.
A new star is born. Listen to the hit "Mercy" and sing along!

Friendship

As the lyric of the Queen's song says, "Friends will be friends".
Friends can help us in difficult moments.
When we are sad, in love, disappointed, "lost"...
True friends are the ones who are always around when we need, in good or in bad moments.
We have our virtual friends, as well, but we recognize the importance of talking face to face with our friends, in a real-world friendship.

Filipa Ferreira; Joana Ferreira; Marcelo; Tiago _ 9th B ( 2008/ 2009 )

Friends will be friends,

When you're through with life and all hope is lost.
Hold out your hand cos right till the end
Friends will be friends.
( Queen )
